Obituary

Algie Ethelbert Foster was born on July 7, 1932 in East St. Louis, Illinois.  He was a blessing to Nesby Ewing and  Beulah Ewing. Algie attended schools in District #189 including Lincoln Sr. High School.  He confessed a hope in Christ in 1976 uniting with One Way To Holiness Church.

Algie enjoyed watching television and eating, especially a good Porterhouse steak. However, church was his life.  He loved to read the word.   During his working years, Algie held various positions, retiring after 25 years, from St. Louis University Hospital as a supply chain manager. He also worked as a truck driver for various companies.

Algie was preceded in death by parents, Nesby Ewing and Beulah Ewing and grandson, Antonio Foster Stacker.

Algie departed this life on March 4, 2023 . He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Donna (Augustus) Stacker and Algie (Darlene) Foster Jr.; three granddaughters, Kimberly (Darhyl) Grier, Mikeda Toi Hinkle, and Tamika (Evan) Aitch; grandson, Don Stewart; five great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
